Veew Studio was engaged to respond to a Council RFI, which sought an assessment of the proposal's visual impact from the public domain and its view sharing outcomes, particularly as the building exceeded the height limit.
We prepared photomontages from the foreshore to show how the proposal would sit within the public view. For view sharing, it was clear early on that neighbouring views would be retained. Instead of producing new imagery to confirm this, we prepared a detailed analysis using survey data and publicly available photos. This saved our client time and cost, and allowed us to meet a tight deadline without compromising the assessment.
The panel approved the application, finding that any view loss was minimal and reasonable and that the proposal was compatible with the existing and future character of the area.
